This reading, presented at Snug Harbor's Shinbone Alley is the workshop presentation of the second phase of HΔRRY. In this play we meet a weed-smoking, henny-soaked, club-hopping first-born prince, Harry. Estranged from his father, the embattled king of his city, Harry struggles with his self-image and birthright. We follow this young prince as he's dragged into his dad's murderous conflicts, and attempts to come to terms with who he is and his place in this harsh, chaotic, war-ridden, adult world. This play, filled with a cast of vivid characters and an original West coast hip-hop influenced score, paints the epic saga of a prince, not yet ready to face his greatness, thrust into it.
